I do not believe any stateside companys insure here. We have used Executive insurance on STX for homeowners and have been happy with them.

USAA, if you are eligible for an account with them.

Used Marshall & Sterling in Christiansted since 2006. Don't know how they compare since we used them by recommendation to have an on-island present in case of casualty damage, etc. However, to our surprise the initial premium actually decreased over time.

If you are an AARP member you can get homeowner/hurricane insurance through them for VI

As far as I know USAA does not write homeowner's insurance in the VI. We use Inter-Ocean. I haven't had to "use" them so I don't know how good they are.

Yep, USAA definitely offers renter's insurance for the VI. Not sure about homeowners. Good luck!

I think Geico and State Farm is okay. But you can also check this one: http://www.quotes-center.com/best-homeowners-insurance-companies/

I had State Farm in the states and when I moved down here they told be they do not offer coverage here.

Renters in the VI??? I didn't know we had an option for that! Looking into that now! Thanks Marty.

If an insurance company says they cover the USVI, ask for it in writing and investigate further. Most don't.
