Hello,

We are looking into moving to St. Croix in about 2-4 months. Looking for housing for 2 with 1 Black Lab. With some near by water would be great. We will be here for 10 years or more. Need to find out who is the Internet thru and cell phone services for texting, photo, camcorder, with Internet. So, we can keep in contact with our friends and family back in the USA. Christiansted is the town where my husband will be working. We wouldn't mind housing in away from any big cities that are already furnished for now within time we would like to buy our own stuff to furnish our house. So, If anyone is out there and can help us get a jump start on this that would be awesome.

Thanks,
Teresa

Sprint and AT@T are both cellular providers on STX. As for the other services I will have no clue until I move there myself.

Welcome Teresa!

You will find tons of information on this, and the sister forum, moving board. Just do a search for everything you are interested in and sit back and read. Christiansted is not a 'big town'. The whole island is just about 22 miles long and about 8 miles wide. If you haven't done so, I suggest a PMV (pre-move visit). Take a couple of weeks to look around, sample the lifestyle and see if it's for you. Some like it, some don't.

Best of luck in your journey!

nn

No big cities. Have you visited before? I would suggest a short term rental, say 2 - 6 months. That will give you time to explore the island and find an area that is perfect for you.

Yeah, we have been there before on a cruise ship. But, we spent more time in St. Thomas, and St. John's. We don't have time to come and check it out. My husband's job could start asap. Thanks for everyone help. Sprint sound like a good plan, just needed to know for sure...Thanks and hopefully we will see you all soon...

Teresa...

AT&T has much better coverage islandwide than Sprint.

Best bet for Internet is Broadband VI. Do not expect mainland speeds down here.

Good luck with your move!
