My wife is in line for a travel nurse position for the months of June, July and August on St Thomas and we would be interested in a Condo/House rental for that period of time. Also we are looking into a 3 month lease on a vehicle which would mean we would have to get insurance on it. The company we are with, GEICO, doesn't seem to do business down there. What companies provide automobile insurance in the USVI.

I don't know of a single stateside auto insurance co that carries the USVI... key phrase "I don't know of"... I don't think there are any, to be honest... on St. Croix we have Gaurdian, Sterlling, Masters, and uuuuuhhhhh....the guy next door to my office... hahaa

I'm sure that they all have offices in St. Thomas... there are proably a couple more in St. Thomas too... I don't know and don't ever plan on living on St. Thomas... anyhow you can go to:
viphonebook.com (or something like that)

Ohhh... as far as leaseing wheels for a few months... I've never heard of anyone doing that... not saying it dosen't happen... I've never heard of anyone doing it... and a rental for that many months will kill you... but hey if you got the money go for it... I'd ck more into it... and come up with a plan B...

Things are a lil different here... but you'll see soon enough... good luck

On stx you can generaly find a monthly car rental for anywhere from $600 to $1200. Depends if its on or off season, the car company and the model you pick.
