Mindy,

I know whilsearching around for the service here on the East End of STT that Oasis Salon is LOOKING for some one like you. They are located in Red Hook on the second floor of the same building that houses Chelsea Pharmacy, Ace Hardware etc. Best wishes on your move down.

While you can look around and try to make some connections, I doubt anyone will actually promise a job or hire you until you are standing in front of them on-island. Too many plan to relocate and never actually do.

Mindy: Did you contact the person I told you about who owns the nail salon and is looking for someone to take over for her? Donna

mindy: I saw your ad in the Island Trader. You certainly have a novel approach to searching for a job. I hope you'll let us know if it works. Good luck! 🙂

Thanks everyone for responding with great possibilities!!! I was curious to see what type of demand there is in STT in the nail industry. It's hard enough relocating so far from home..... but not knowing if your trade/skill is even needed..... I could not imagine my life without doing nails 🙂

East Ender..... gave the Island Trader a shot, the picture was all I needed! I have received about 15 job offers already!!! emails and calls from girls who would like to get their nails done.... it's crazy!!!!! Just have to decide where when I get there. So yes, it worked 😉

Now the next hurdle is to find somewhere to live!!!! My husband will be there thursday-monday of this week, we need a 1-2 bedroom not to to far from havensight if anyone can help?
