So....I was just wishing on the HD web site...then I saw something I wanted..then I found one at a dealership in Puerto Rico...just for giggles I sent in a credit app...and I was approved! Crikey, now I need to sell my 1976 Harley Davidson Sportster, called "The Pirate Bike".

I'm thinking that, since I paid $5K for it back in '01(here's what she looked like then)

And I've spent several thousand dollars in parts, accessories...heck, paint alone was $1,500! I'm thinking that asking $6,500 is not unfair to anyone (well, except ME! Haha!)

Would anyone have any interest in this...like, SOON?

A guy named Rich Greenwalt from St. Thomas. If you want his number, PM me and I can get it to you...it's tuff to get him to commit, as he stays really busy doing all sorts of projects...but his airbrushing sure is dynamite, huh? I have had him do some additions to my paint since I took these pics...there are now little white 'fuzzies' on the Jolly Roger flags where they are tattered...now you can really tell that they are tattered flags...and he also added a broken forehead to the skull on the front fender...I have scars on my forehead from when an off-duty cop hit me and caused some brain damage, which is why the gas cap comes outta the forehead of the skull on the tank...nice little touches...

Hey Marty,
My husband has a motorcycle (spectacular suzuki GSXR, beautiful custom paint job, chrome etc). He loves the bike but I thought that it was impractical to have a motorcycle in STT (30 mph speed limit, traffic, steep hills, rust) and that he should keep it here on the mainland when we move. So, I'm curious about your experience with having a motorcycle on island. Where do you ride? And how do the limits I listed in parenthesis above effect you?
Thanks!
Carol

I ride one of my bikes every day. Anywhere I need to go...much faster than sitting in traffic...speed limits? We have speed limits here??? Haha! I manage to keep it under 70 mph...most of the time....

Well...now that I look at the figures for the new one, I'm kinda leary about selling this one and buying the new one...nothing wrong with the two I have! Conundrums, conundrums!

OK, I'm thinking now that I should just keep the Pirate Bike and the Rebel...maybe spend $20,000 on something else...like a down payment on a BOAT! Haha! One more week on this board, then, no interest, she's going back iton my living room.....
