oh no! well, we will keep looking but if it comes down to it and if you don't have someone and if we don't have a place.... my mom could always watch him for a couple months. *sigh* i know i can live without him for a bit. thanks so much for your help.

I know exactly how you feel, I miss my pooch terribly. How long had you planned on being down here? Just for the summer?

no. we're coming down in december and we plan on 2 years for her to finish her masters. of course i expect the unexpected.... one of us may hate it and one may love it.

Oh, well...yeah, I'm sure we could have worked out well as room-mates...But I understand the dog thing....and the allergy thing, too...but definitely bring the bike!! Look me up when ya get here and we'll go for a ride...I can show you around!

I have another question... you mentioned Contant earlier as a place you wouldnt like to live.. are there any other areas you wouldnt recommend? we're looking at both stt and stx....

Upper Contant is not a bad area (as in Crown Mtn), I would stay away from Anna's Retreat and Bovoni

OK, just an update for those of you looking at this possibility. I currently have someone coming to stay for 10 days starting on the 3th of this month, then on the first of August I have someone for the entire month...soOOooo.....I have availability starting in September....but I have another fella that is coming in October and is interested, so maybe I should just look for some on to use it as a PMV? Or just suck up the rent myself and rent it to the guy in October? I'm open to the possibilities, so, if any of this looks like it might work into your plans, jest lemme know!

Hi Marty,
I know you said you have some people coming in the next couple of months, but I thought I'd drop a line anyway. I'm moving in early August to start going to UVI. I'm 26, going to do nursing, I'm hoping to get a job either bartending or teaching scuba, if I have the time. I will pretty much be on good behavior, at least until december b/c i'm training for a marathon. I am also a smoker (plus running, plus scuba, makes a great combo!) Just curious about location compared to the university or at least public transport - unless I can buy something really cheap there, I won't have a ride. My buddy and I are coming down to the island August 18 and we are working at the Marriott. We are very interested in the apartment and we were wondering if two people would be ok? We don't have any pets. We are willing to rent for a month while we look for a place on the island and can provide you with a security deposit as well if need be.

The island is only 3 miles wide X 12 long...everything is within 20 minutes of each other....unless traffic comes into play!
