I will be moving to St. Thomas March 10th, with my boyfreind, for a teaching job on the Island. We are looking for a one bedroom apartment/studio to rent. Will be willing to sign a one year lease. I am looking for a completely furnished apartment under $1000 (perfer to have utilities included).

We are looking for a place to stay while we check out our options for living arrangements, any suggestions to local, cheap hotels?

We are also looking to buy/rent a car while we are there. Any good used car dealerships on the Island or know anybody that is personally selling their car? Would a scooter be a good investement, since the island has a lot of hills?

Message me or send an e-mail., THANKS!!!

look at the trader for cars and rentals. 1000, including utilities, may be a slight problem but you can find it if you look hard. I have nothing in that price range for a one bedroom..

I have a short term rental - look at www.stthomasvirginisland.com

$1,000/month including utilities will be tough but keep checking the Island Trader.

Not anymore - Daily News did away with scanning the Island Trader, crucian Trader and Love City Trader as of Dec. 8th.
So for anyone that is not on the island, we can't see and read them.
I can see daily News want ads, as I am signed up for their daily news - but there were much more on the Island Trader.
When I sent an e-mail to Daily News and asked about it, this was their reply;

Good Day:
Thank you for the reminder. The request is in the hands of our web content subcontractor.
All links to Island Trader, Crucian Trader and Love City Trader should be eliminated early this week.
Merchants have not been keen on the idea of paying for the products to display online and we had been doing so earlier in the hope that it would catch on.
A new website will give each advertiser the choice to display online is to be launched next year.

Hopefully, they will bring them back...........I do miss them.
