Does anybody know of a small (about 500 sq ft) space in a commercial/industrial building that I can rent? Ideally in a quiet area somewhere between Salt River and downtown C'sted. I'll be using it as an art studio (sewing, not painting).

If you've seen a "for rent" sign and have no more details, please let me know where you saw it and I'll go find the info.

Many thanks!

Check with Alexandra on this board. You might also check with Beth at the newly opened used book store next to the party supply place on Hwy 75 North of Four Corners. She "might have extra room in her store.

Thanks, Terry. I did speak with Beth today at the Beachside Used Books store in Princesse Plaza. She gave me the name of her landlord, who may have some space in that building. So that's a possibility...

I make art quilts and get a bit messy with piles of fabric and threads flying everywhere, so I prefer not to share the space unless I get my own room, but it's a worthwhile tthought. I appreciate the suggestion.

Hello there. This may be a bit too far, but just past Christiansted, about .2 miles before the ballpark, there is a small strip mall kind of thing that has had one small unit for rent forever. I am not sure about St. Croix, but I know in multiple states I did rent spaces but never paid full price. The concept is: No one likes an unoccupied space, and some money is better than none. As such, I often signed an agreement that when someone came along willing to pay full price, I would move on. Nine out of ten times, I never did have to move on.

I will also keep my eyes open for any other space,

Best wishes,

Dan

Dan,
That's a great suggestion and one I hadn't thought of, so I will certainly use it when I do find the space. I think I know which place you're talking about. It's next to a bakery. It is farther than I want to go but I'll check it out anyway! Thanks again. Jamila

Hello there again. I know the space has been open for a long time, and yes, I believe is next to a bakery. As it has been open for at least six months, I would imagine that some rent and having it occupied is better than the reverse.

Best wishes, and the space is really kind of cool. Good sunlight to avoid those nasty flourescent tubes!

Dan
