Hi, my name is Bryel and my friend and I are moving down there on Monday. We have a place to stay the first 5 days but are looking a for a place to live. We would like to live on the east side. We are not planning on getting a car at least not right away so we want a place where you can walk or get a cab to red hook for work. We are willing to share a room so a studio or one bedroom will do. We are look for something that is around $1,000 to $1,200 a month not including utilities and a lit more if it does included utilities $1,300 or $1,400 . Also we don't want to commit to more then 4 months just in case things don't work out. If you know of anything available that is in our price range please let me know.

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon,

Bryel:-)

Hi, I have a place in town that I can sublet (with no lease) until the end of March. It would be $900 including utilities and has a great view of the harbor. It's not in Red Hook, but you could catch the $2 taxi there, or, if you don't have a job lined up, you could work in downtown (a two minute walk). Let me know if you'd like to see it when you get on island.
