Moving to USVI at end of January

My girlfriend and I are moving down at the end of the month and will be looking for a room to rent or an apartment for a month or so while we find our jobs. If you are located near restaurants (since this is probably what we will start out doing), or public transportation that would be preferred since we won't have a vehicle at first. If we do find a job that is conveniently located near you than we would most likely be interested in extending to a year lease, but would stay month to month if you would like.

I'm an archaeologist, and she works with at risk children in Washington D.C. We are planning on living there as we prepare for GRE's and Grad school. If anyone has information about shelters for women or children that might be hiring, or any historical/archaeological position (excavations, tours, etc.) please let us know.

Thanks

Stefan

Which Island? How big? How much do you want to pay a month?

We are open to any island, so long as we can find a job that can be reached from our home without our own car. We are looking for a studio/1 bedroom/Shared room, and are looking to pay about $1000 a month, but would consider something a little more expensive if we have to.

Thanks,

Stefan

I would also be interested in weekly rentals while looking for a more permanent situation.

public transport is much better on STT than STX but STT costs more than STX

Most employers will require you to have your own reliable transportation.
