My apartment is beautiful and it has beautiful views. Unfortunately, the walls are barren and I hate hanging inside my apartment due to that fact. Does anyone have or know of any art they are will to sell for cheap (or even give away)? Additionally, I'd be itnerested in new dishes and lamps.

Check out the animal shelter flea market in Orange Grove and Closet to Closet in Peters Rest. You can find cheap items in there.
There's also an art supply store beside NR Electric, you can buy your own canvas & paints......get creative!!! 😎
Plants add nice ambiance .........and easy to grow!!!!
Also check out the shops dwn twn both C'sted & F'sted, there's lots of stuff there to make your apartment stylish.
There are several talented people here, perhaps you can ask your landlord about having one paint a mural on your wall.
Kmart.........Brass Key ............ Travelers Tree ........... find new lamps & dishes & other goodies
Get creative & have fun!!!

how about taking your own pictures and then matting and framing them? it is very easy, not expensive and there are so many things to take pictures of on the island. sometimes a trio of the same object but taken differently looks great - such as an entire palm tree, then the angle closer but from directly standing underneath, and a very close up of the coconuts etc. i do this all the time with photography and objects.
p.s. it's best to hang in odd numbers (3 or 5 i think look best)

go down to the art gallery in Fredriksted... you can pick up old calendars for a few bucks... each month has a different print you can frame...

and / or pick up digital camera and run around the island snapping cool stuff or what I do... I go grab a few beers take the digital... Rainbow, sunset jazz, sand castles, coconuts, sunset grill, etc... Drink beer and snap sunsets/scenery....
Its just like Killing two stoned birds...
