I need a nice 2 bedroom apt or house for end of Sept,unfurnished I am retired and can only pay $700.

If you come up with a 2-BDR place at that price, it's very likely going to be in horrible condition. Rental rates are high on St. Croix and rising more all the time. Your only real bet is to ask around through word of mouth and maybe you'll come across a local property owner who will rent at that price. Many studio condos cost more per month than that.
