Good afternoon,

My husband and I recently relocated and are looking for a long-term rental to call home. We are responsible, hard-working, quiet, clean and non-smoking people with a 15-lb. dog. Our dog Marley is quiet (read:lazy), house- and crate-trained, and only barks if someone knocks directly on our door.

We would love to live on the north side or east end, desire 2 bedrooms but could live with one, and need a place in the next two weeks. We're excellent renters and lived in our previous apartment for more than four years.

If you have a property you think we'd be a good fit for, please PM me or call 402-290-8394.

Thanks!

Sara

You said you could probably make it work with a one bedroom. Here is a nice place which includes washer/dryer & utilities.

Here is a two bedroom located on the Northside around Dorathea: http://virgin.craigslist.org/apa/4448491933.html

Thanks, I've been to see both of these! I posted just in case there was someone who hadn't advertised their place in the Island Trader or on Craigslist and was looking for a responsible couple to rent their property.

I'm off to see 3 more today, cross your fingers!

Also, some of the old time residents on St. Thomas, especially the Northside may not advertise in the paper or Craigslist. They will post a sign on the side of the main road advertising their apartment. If you pass some of these signs, don't be afraid to stop and check them out. There are quite a few jewels in the rough found that way. Some of them even rent old school, like No credit checks, no lease, no rental references and some with only the first month rent and a small security deposit will get you in the door.

Ditto to what Mike said, however it's pretty much all of the island now. Find an area you like and drive around there. You will see signs. Do call. You will be surprised in either direction of what you may find.
