Greetings all.

Its been a run ride, but I am heading off island. And thus i am selling my car.

1996 Honda Passport
Four Wheel Drive, shift of the fly
60k miles, inspected through 2008
CD, Power windows and locks
Strong engine & Transmission

I am selling it for $3800 or best offer. It does have some issues, so I'll list those as well.

Needs new rear brake pads
New right head light (it turns on but the glass is broken)
AC needs work
back left window does not roll up (its stuck in the door)
When the front brake pads go, the rotors will need to be replaced as well.

Overall I guess this is right on the verge of being an "island car". It runs strong and smooth, no weird vibrations. Has excellent 4wd drive for getting to those hide awhile beaches or up those hills when its raining. But its not the "prettiest" car in the lot.

If you would like to give it a test drive give me a call

340.626.0368

Cheers Robert.

P.S I think the police force on this island is a joke. FYI

Robert: I hope that you will write an exit story on why you came, how you perceived your time here and why you are going. Will you elaborate on the police? Related to another thread: Do/Did you have rock fever?
Good luck. 🙂

Ditto what East Ender suggested. We have a section with about 40 stories written by folks that came, left, are still here, only did the pmv... if you want to contribute something its welcomed. If you want to check them out they are at https://www.vimovingcenter.com/what_to_expect/.

PS. Good job on your 8 tuff miles finish... (saw it on your blog when looking to see if you wrote anything about moving).

PPS. Hope you sell your car! 😉

I hope your car doesn't sell and you have an epiphany that this is where you belong!

now for some unselfish feedback...

Robert, I will miss you very much (don't let this go to your head)

you have been an integral part of my life here so far. A big thank you to STT Resident and her gracious hosting of the get together at the Toad and Tart in October which is where Robert and mine's friendship began.

Robert has done a lot of good things while on island. You have a place to stay if you want to visit and I will take you up on the DC adventure when the time is right.

Now come over for omeletes....I texted you this morning!!!!

Hello Robert,

Thanks. You can email it to me (islander@vinow.com). Also you might post the write up here as a new thread, that way folks can reply with questions/comments - of course thats if you want to entertain feedback ;).

All the best,

--Islander
