Hello-
Ever since my husband and I did a pre-move visit to STX in 2004 we have decided we want to relocate to the USVI. I do have a few questions.
First, how pet friendly are the islands (ie rentals, beaches, restaurants)? I do remember one restaurant had its own stray dog mascot that came around on STX but that's all I recall...
I am an assistant systems administrator and outside of the hotel industry and the university if there are other businesses I should be paying more attention to?
My husband repairs mechanical seals in pumps and compressors and I didn't know if there are any pump repair shops that do in-house seal repair? He has already visited Hovensa but would like to focus on smaller shops since Hovensa has a contract with an outside company for their repairs.
I am aware that these are wide ranging topics but any input would be greatly appreciated.

The beaches are pet friendly..........sometimes it's just you & the dog & a beautiful beach!
Unless your dog is a service dog, they aren't supposed to be in the restaurants.............though some along the beach & open air seating will not be a problem if your dog is friendly.
Rentals are hard to find that allow pets...............not that you won't find one............your choices will be limited.

Thanks for the tips! I have submitted an app or two on career.vi and I have my fingers crossed. I'm just at the beginning of the search but I have lots of hope : )
