Hello - I have a lovely open floor plan contemporary home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. THe home is on a tranquil large wooded lot surprisingly close to the center of the city. THe home has 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths and lots of extras.

We recently retired and would like to relocate to the USVI.. We are looking for a home with a lot of bedrooms that we could possibly use as a B & B.

Our home is appraised for $849000 but we are very reasonable and flexible. If you by any chance are thinking of relocating to philadelphia or working in New York and commuting from philadelphia, please email us.

Hi. I am in Philadelphia - specifically, Mt Airy neighborhood.

Have you posted this on the Philly Blog - www.phillyblog.com? People look for Philadelphia housing recommendations there. What area? I know two people looking for homes in this area. Your description of a "wooded lot" makes me think you might be close by. I don't know how reasonable it is to expect to find a B&B appropriate home in the VI. Floorplans tend to be very different....larger homes are divided into apartments - separate apartments on each floor - not large, multi-floor homes with many bedrooms like we have in Phialdlephia.

I hope you get lots of feedback on the B&B idea in the VI. Which island? Better read the thread about the WAPA bills. Sounds pretty bad.Consider your quality of life in retirement.

Good luck.

There are some B&B types of properties for sale currently on STX. I can fill you in on specifics if you want more information. I don't know anyone who has it in mind to head north to Philadelphia, though. I do know quite a few people moving from there into this direction.

Dear j,

This may be redundant, but hope you've gone to the first anouncement at the top of this page (new to the board, etc.) and that you plan on doing an extensive PMV. This is not a move to be made lightly. The best of luck to you!
