We're arriving on Feb. 18th and leaving on Feb. 23rd - we timed it to make Mardi Croix. We're glad to hear that it isn't necessarily a touristy event...

Mardi Croix is on Saturday, Feb. 21st. I believe there is a parade that starts in LaVallee and ends at Cane Bay.
