Carnival was mas!
-music, food and dancing in the village every night
-j'ouvert morning in the rain
-following JDPP and P'Your Passion up de road, "Bunny Train" massive
- following the free Cruzan Rum and Red Bull truck, then sleeping in my car til 3 PM
-watching my daughter coming up during the children's parade
-watching Gov. de Jongh do the Bunny Train
-coming up for the adults parade with my troupe, Traditional Indians (3rd year running)
-excellent fireworks
-tramp down the beach at Magen's on Sunday

Sadly, dragging myself back to work on Monday

Thanks Ronnie! As you can see, I've picked up the VI moves pretty good, huh?

SuzanneB,

I must say that it is nice to read about how much you and your kids love VI culture. It is very refreshing to see that appreciation :).

I love, love, love the VI culture and people, I could never just watch a parade pass me by, I've got to jump up with the party. Carnival is my most favorite time of year, with j'ouvert being my favorite day. I love to see people who are normally ultra-reserved, letting it all hang out (figuratively and literally!!!)
