Having recently relocated to St Croix, I'm looking for ways to publicize my services. Does anyone have suggestions--as I'm VERY new to the island--for places that one can put up business cards/fliers or other ways to advertise a small business? I'm wondering if there are boards at libraries/coffee shops, etc...or anywhere that's friendly to small business advertising. I'm trying to avoid stepping on the advertising-on-this-site line, but this would be in the writing/editing/educational realm.
Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated!

Writing, editing, proofreading, typing, data entry, that sort of thing.

Had a renter once that did transcription work for stateside doctors. Seemed to pay pretty well, might be something to look into.

Otherwise I might try advertising at the coffee shops if they will allow it, but I would make up a good detailed flyer and start faxing it off to local businesses.
