Affordable STJ?

I'm relocating to VI in the coming year. I know STJ is more expensive than STT or STX. But is it possible to find a decent 1BR condo for under $250,000? I've been to the MLS, but I'd like to have a second opinion.

MLS pretty much tells the tale...and it also depends on your definition on 'decent'. You get what you pay for...

You might be able to get an older studio for 300k or 350k. It will most likely look like a cheap run down apartment stateside as far as the kitchen and bathrooms go and maybe everything else. But hey theres not much keeping up with the jones here. Right now theres only one on the MLS for 300k and its not pretty except for the view. You'll just need to adjust to what you can get stateside.

Why not rent for the meantime? That's what we're doing in STT.

"affordable" and "STJ" is an oxymoron.
