Are you looking to set up events? I will be relocating to STT in a little under a year. Currently networked to quite a few local and some international dj's ( ok one international)
This is something I have already been "thinking out" Primarily on travel fee's for the DJ's I would be able to bring out.
Right now I am leaving it on a basis of when I get there seeing what the desire is. ( gotta have an outcome for the cash! =) )
I know there is a good DnB and Hard trance to House in Puerto Rico so we shall see.
Feel free to throw some feed back!
regards,
Cera

What I want to know 1st is... Are there any existing electronic djs in the usvi?...

I plan on bringing small portable sound that would be powered by a generator and doing weekly events during/after special events in the islands and in exotic locales..

I primarily play dnb, breaks, progressive, trance & hip hop, but I will be adding more house to my selection as Im sure good house music would go off well there...

As far as bringing djs... that is something I will consider at a later time as I find when there are peak opportunities in the year

What I'm looking to do is start a sound tribe down there and work with existing locals to do small events on a non commercial basis..

of course creating club nights and doing bigger things down the road may be possibilities

thanks alot for the reply, good networking is essential to our continued success, nice to meet you.. here is my profile on myspace

Maybe you ought to visit first and see if there is a need for what you do. There are tons of djs here with more equipment than I can think of.

Hello,
I'm am English raver who moved to St Thomas in Aug 04 after 10 years in Connecticut. I have not seen anyone mixing with vinyl, but there are clubs and local crews playing a mix of soca, reggae hip hop and r&b. My wife has heard some techno on the radio coming out of St Martin and there is a gay club in town that mixes in some dance tunes. So the answer to your question is no, but let me know when you come down for a vist. I would be inerested in helping you set something up. Like your website.
