Any problems parking on Grapetree side to hike to Jacks + Issac Bay?

I haven't been to Isaac in a little while. and I heard some rumors that people were messing with cars on the Grapetree side (near the Nature Conservancy gate)

Has anyone heard anything about this? I don't want to go back if it's not safe anymore.

When you leave your car there, there is a very high degree of risk that it will be broken into. Its like the thieves hide in the trees like monkeys waiting to pounce. I know several people who have been victims there, including my son.

Leave nothing in the car and leave it unlocked with windows down.

Not sure about the access to Isaac/Jack from South Grapetree, the locals seems a bit militant about people driving/parking there.

I believe there's still a big sign at South Grapetree Rd turn off from South Shore Rd that directs people to take East End Rd to Point Udall. Then there's even more signs further up as you head east. Not sure if those are true private roads and if they can legally keep you away.

Went to Grapetree beach last year via a dedicated public beach access off S. Grapetree Road and was questioned by someone what I was doing there (apparently luggin beach chairs didn't give the guy a clue).

Thanks for the replies!

I used to go all the time and was never questioned and never had a problem. But hearing about some recent issues makes me wonder if it is still safe out there.

RevFD that is funny about the beach chairs!

That trail actually cuts through several private lots and there is no parking area.
It's a shame there aren't more dedicated areas for parking out there (Grape tree or Udall Point). Although, I guess we're lucky there's any pavement at all out there 🙂

Leave nothing in the car and leave it unlocked with windows down.

We were there in July and the above advice was our everywhere we went and had no problems.
