Not a bad idea at all.

We're looking to do about the same thing with our two retired Greyhounds, but probably not until Oct or Nov. Please keep us all posted.

Just an update for all who are still interested. I have found another possible flight. I am PMing with a few people, but want to keep everyone up to date if it does not work out with them. The flight originates from Ft. Lauderdale, and we would have room for two more people. Passports would be mandatory due to a refueling stop in the Bahamas. Any dogs would need to have a crate, but not be required to be in it during flight. The dogs would also require the same health certificates that you need for commercial flight. (Signed within 10 days by a vet). This flight has to take place in the first week of September. I think we can pick the exact date. If we make it three people total, the price would be $1650 per person, if it's four - $1237.50 per person. Feel free to throw your hat in if interested!

Just wanted to bump this up and say that the last flight I mentioned in the above post is still available. We are really hoping to find one or two passengers to join us. Anyone interested?

Hey, how about me and my cocker spaniel and military macaw (parrot)? I had wanted to be in STX around late August, but am flexible for September as well.

Let me know about the possibility ASAP, as I am suppose to be buying tickets today for United, but can't find accommodations for the bird.

I'm new to all this posting, so am not sure if my message made it. I am interested in the charter flight if I can bring my military macaw(parrot) and cocker spaniel, but I need to find out details in next few days. I am suppose to be buying my tickets today, for August 23rd but can't find help on how to get the bird there.

I am flexible on dates, I just need to get the dog and bird there as well.

Please contact me as soon as you can.

Thanks!

Sorry, I didn't realize there was a page two. I'm interested if you have room for cocker spaniel and parrot with certificates and separate carriers (of course-LOL). I can do without suitcases if I have to, just need a carry-on for food, water and change of clothes.

Let me know how it's going and from whence every one is driving or flying to FL from. I am not far from Omaha, but pets and I are seasoned travelers.

I'm so happy I found this post. We're thinking about moving in the next year, and have 4 dogs and 4 cats that we'd want to move via a charter of some sort. I was guessing it would cost around $10k, but hadn't begun to look into it yet. I'll definitely keep an eye on this and post anything I find.
