Did anyone else see it? I was having rum just before midnight with 2 friends outside high above Smith Bay and we all went "holy $#@, this better not be the predicted apocalypse". It seemed to emanate from the east end and lit up the entire sky. There were at least 3 lasting a couple of seconds each, had a strange blue look, and one was accompanied by an electrical buzz or zap sound. Power went out for a bit. Was it a transformer? It seemed pretty big.

More than likely a transformer. My lights dimmed twice about then.
