Is No Bones like a "country" bar style inside?

No bones needs a better traffic area. I always forget aobut it too.

Fully agree! Have been there once for lunch in 5 years and just never think about it.
A move to old Case Place would definitely be a plus.

Think we will give it a try it tonight!

We did dine at No Bones last night for dinner and it was uninspiring. Empty except for a few regulars at the bar.
Service was friendly and fast. Wife had daily special which was friend chicken and she said it was good. I had fish and chips and it was frozen Mahi and rather soggy. Beer was cold which was most important!

Think we will try again following their pending move but will stick with Bombay Club for food, atmosphere, and value!

I went over to Blue Water Terrace yesterday and took advantage of the pizza BOGO deal.

Both pizzas were hot and delicious...and a good value!

I think I've mentioned before (lol) but Blue Water pizzas and calzones are awesome. I'm particularly a fan of their thin crust, they do it right.

Actually, the thin crust I had last night was more like what one might expect from Napoleon...more of a regular crust.

It was awesome though.

IMO, as for thin crust pizza, nothing comes close to the Lost Dog pizza.

vicanuck, that's due to Paulie and Lori being gone...I don't think the staff can still get quite the "touch" for the thin crust. When they're back try it again, it's really good and cracker-y.

Still like their pizza the best though! gonetropo, I haven't had Lost Dog just due to the fact that I need to get my West End passport renewed...*grins* It's on the list for someday, though...along with No Bones, Bombay Club, Galangal, and Kendricks...why have I been here years now and still not gone to these places? Hmpf!

JulieKay, definitely give the Lost Dog a try. I would recommend it folowing Sunset Jazz. Best pizza on the island, bar none.
Don't miss Bombay Club either....our favorite 'go to' restaurant on the island and a great selection of food and prices. We were there last night and the place was humming!

Bullflop. We make it fresh EVERY Day and it's a wheat crust too. Frozen my arse, where do you get that information or did you just make that lie up for fun? We make our sandwich bread fresh every day too.

Lost Dog and Blue Water have the best pizza on island, hands down. And although Lori and Pauli may be off island right now, the pizza guy, Matt, is the same person it has been for a year and a half and he works a LOT.

I get that everybody has a bad experience at a restaurant sometimes, but there is a lot of bad and made up BS in this thread.

The frozen dough at the Dog lie is pretty funny. Fresh wheat crust made daily. Basil grown there and we buy a ton of local produce too, as well as make everything ourselves and the only things kept frozen are the Mozz and Roni, like any other place.

Ah and that is why it is the best! I sure didn't think it could have been frozen dough but if it is, it sure is good!

It is made fresh, in house, every single day.

Isn't sunshinefun the same poster who made up the story that the BH gym was closing too, when somebody mentioned they liked Red Couch?

I wonder what restaurant they own? lol

Hey Jamison, The Lost Dog Pub has always been our goto for pizza.....it is the best on the island and that is where we take our friends visiting to for a great pizza and cold beer! Not only that, it has a really cool atmosphere.
