I am also a mosquito (and other bug) magnet. I live on-island full time and use Repel Sportsmen MAX (40% Deet) 24/7. It is a cream and lasts about 6-8 hours if I'm not really sweating. I am particularly vigilant about putting it on my feet, ankles, and calves if I am going to be out before 9 am or after 4 pm, or if I'm walking on beach. I don't put it under my clothes, except just under the edge of shorts and armholes of tops, so no problem with irritation and I only wear cotton, so no worries about it damaging other fabrics. It will take ink and paint off things like water bottles, labels, and kindle covers and deposit it on your skin. I've also used the Repel Lemon Eucalyptus and it works just fine for about 5-6 hours, but my husband doesn't like the smell. If you are being bit through your clothes, you can spray your clothes with Repel spray. Try it in a small spot to make sure it doesn't harm the fabric. Hope you have a wonderful visit.
