From a post on Steve's LONNNNGGGGG message:
Could somebody help out with Denise?
Loved reading about your adventure of settling in. Could you Please add me to your list when you email a picture of the weekly Island Trader. I am arriving down there on Sept 1st or 2nd and have no clue where I will sleep! I have a job on St John at the Nat Park and although I posted a message on both this board and the one at vinow.com, but I haven't even had one reply so figured either no one is willing to share info or maybe I did something wrong in the posting?? I'm a bit nervous about all this, but excited just the same.
Thanks so much ;-)))

Denise, I saw your original post and didn't respond because I have no experience with StJ! Maybe by reposting a thread here somebody who wasn't on before will take notice and give some clues. Definately take the time to use the search feature and use key words. There are a lot of others wanting to move to StJ and have used this for info as well...
Good Luck!

Thank you so much Eve.
I have been reading all the older threads and I am so happy that this message board exists. I am learning invaluable tidbits about island life in the VI that have already been a great help, like Steve N's recent postings. I also am making a list of email addresses of people who have been looking for a place to live and possibly may want to share share a rental. Hopefully by the time I arrive I will at least have a start on where to begin.
Again, thank you so much for taking time to repost a note and help me out. I wasn't sure I had done the original posting the correct way. I am going to keep watching the posts about the future Get Togethers and look forward to meeting some of you great people.
Denise ;-))

Denise: Have you talked with the folks at the Park Service? I know of at least one park employee who lives on the east end of St Thomas. I suspect that they have transportation from their dock like the Westin and Caneel.
