Well...This time next year we HOPEFULLY will be living on STX!!!

As most of you know, we bought a condo in St. C back in August. We bought it with some rentals in mind but after we were down there and made it to our liking...kinda changed our minds. We are renting it a little but not as aggressively as we had originally planned. We've started saving some more and working a little harder, working on the house some (not too much! was just built in 2001!) and will be putting it on the market in the spring! We've been making plans and arrangements for our move (not bringing a lot with us). We're also getting ideas on homes and possibly businesses for shortly after we move. We have two dogs that we'll leave at first to make sure it's working for us then we're going to bring them down too!!! Can't leave the "kids" behind!

We can't wait to get down there and as much as I was worried that I'll miss the city (I'm originally from Atlanta) but as the days go on, I am so excited about the changes and want to move NOW! Jamie already knows he's going to love it! We can't wait for our next trip down but I just got a new job here and don't get much vacation yet! Hoping that we won't have too big of an issue finding jobs...I'm in real estate here and he's a computer programmer. We'd both be happy waiting tables!

Ok, if you're still reading, thanks for reading my ramblings! I can say all that to our friends and family here but they just don't understand and are probably tired of hearing it!! We're grateful for everyone we've met on our trips and can't wait to meet everyone else!

Hang in there Angela! Keep giving Jamie the strokes he needs. You already have one tough part conquered... you have acquired USVI real estate at rock bottom and can't lose at this point. He knows he can make this work. You need to take a deep breath and take that final plunge (you already took it prior to buying property here!) and come on down to STX and write up your successful moving story for the website.

Worst case scenario? That condo you bought at $110K over the summer? Condos are now listed at that complex at $170K! Not a bad return if everything went to #$YU%$ and you decided to sell out and ignore your previous intention of moving to STX.

Apparently the stars are on your side! We look forward to you moving here full time and not just for the occasional vacation.

Yeah, I worked in a restaurant for about 3 years and have done it PT off and on. Jamie hasn't but is willing to do anything to try to make $$ down there!

We can't wait to be posting about our move and have already been weeding out what we really don't need and what's going to go into storage. No matter what, the condo will at least be a rental but we are going to take a plunge and if we sell our house here in the spring...we'll be there in the fall!

So hopefully next Thanskgiving will be in our condo! Thanks!
