I am moving to St. Thomas in a few weeks and placing an order for a brand new car to pick up when I arrive. I wanted to know from locals if they have had problems with the paint fading on their cars. I am thinking of picking a red car.

If you don't wash and wax regularly, it will fade. some colors fade quicker than others. My SUV (red) is now going on five years old and still looks new. Just keeping it clean keeps the collected elements off! Salt spray especially!
