I seem to have lost my car title. I can't find anyplace that tells me how to go about getting a copy of it. Can anyone let me know? I am off island for a while but need to have a copy as soon as I return. Thanks!

Do you still have your registration? If so, it will be easier to do. If not, I believe they can look it up at BMV using your driver's license. You have to go in person (or send someone who is your power of attorney), fill out a form, and pay a fee for a replacement title.

Thanks for the response. I do have the registration...just need to know where to go. I can't seem to find anywhere on the internet that gives that info. Is it in the same place as inspections/licenses etc?

Yes, the BMV can make you a new title.

It's possible that DMV never gave you a title. That happened to me and they gave me a title for free when I was ready to sell on 2013.
