long story short- the car i was to borrow during my pmv is still in the shop... as a car rental will be an unexpected expense i am looking for the cheapest option. any ideas??

hi erin,
I rented a car in February on STJ at about $55-60 per day. That seemed to be the cheapest and at that time the only economy suv available! All of the rental places seem to have that level of price as a base for economy so I don't seem to think it matters to much which one you go with to rent. We have used courtesy and denzil clyne in the past. you can actually repark in denzil clynes parking area when visiting the town. They are by mongoose junction and the other is near the texaco. i will also be coming down soon for a pmv in june!

You can rent in st thomas at the airport then bring it back to stt, it is much cheaper

The only problem with that is most stt car rental places have it in their contract that you cannot take it to stj, so if you get in an accident there you are going to have problems.

Yes, check to see if you are allowed to take the STT rental car to STJ. Not all companies will let you do that.
