Hi There,

We are coming to St. Thomas tomorrow on Seaborne airlines to see if we would want to live there. We flew to Puerto Rico with the idea that maybe we might like to live there, but it is just not what we were looking for.

We wished in Puerto Rico that we would have been able to talk with people who relocated there, but there were not too many.

Does anyone feel like meeting up with us to talk about life on the USVI tomorrow or the next day? We can meet for dinner or drinks, whatever... it would be great to meet up with anyone who could give us a good perspective. Let me know and we'll look forward to it!

Thanks!
Rosalie

Hi Rosalie,
I'm on St. Croix, so I can't meet you, but a couple of questions. Where are you staying on St. Thomas? Depending on which end of the island you will be on, there are a couple of places where the ex-pats hang out, all ages, professions, etc. On the east end of the island, Molly Molones has a very active happy hour with lots of transplanted "locals". As a matter of fact, there are numerous bars and restaurants around the east end (Red Hook), where you could start a conversation with anyone. Just start with the bartender, and it will spread. On the west side of town, there is Tickles in Crown Bay Marina. Same type of gathering, but I think more regulars at Molly's in Red Hook. I left St. Thomas a couple of years ago, so maybe a current resident can jump in and let you know if there are better choices for meeting people. Also if there are any "events" going on, you might enjoy attending and meeting people there.

Or Betsy's in Frenchtown. Also try Sibs on the north side or Hull Bay Hideaway.
