Once again the USVI government has shown it is corrupt,incompetent and maybe criminally negelent.
The emerging story regarding how, and why the cruise ship industry stopped calling on St Croix is an outrage. (and should be even to those on St thomas). Please read the "Daily News" articles that tell us that not only has the USVI Tourism Department effectively stolen millions of dollars from St Croix, they even now, will not release the so called marketing plan due to secrecy concerns. These people should be fired immediately if not charged with crimes and sent to prison. Check out www.virginislandsdailynews.com

And to me one of the saddest angles to that story is that Pamela Richards, head of Tourism, is on the surface at least, trying to drum up business for STX. I guess it was all a false front - which makes it even more desperately sick.
I agree, they should all be immediately let go and the Hotel Association that was trying to claim some responsibility for writing ad campaigns and the like should be given more power than they were given many months back.
Pamela Richards is a definate negative! Shame shame shame.
