Recently, last week, I was visiting STT and noticed a lot of renovation has been done to the shopping area at Crown Bay. Does anyone know if the port authority now plans to start sending more cruise ships to crown bay or is still just going to be used for overflow?

Thanks for your responses

There's talk that an agreement will be signed soon that will have at least one particular ship docking at Crown Bay year 'round but presently it's still just overflow.

As I understand it, since a couple of the cruise lines ponied up some of the dough to help build it, they will be the ones docking there when they are in port, regardless of avalability in Havensight.

I thought they turned down the cruise line money and decided to build it with PFA money instead?

Yes, it was done by the Port Authority themselves. The West Indian Company still controls where the ships will go, so you will probably see more in Havensight than Crown Bay.
