The Lobster sandwich place is//was on the waterfront just west of the Vendors plaza right by postoffice alley - don't know if it is still there.

That was Linda Bean's (of L.L. Bean fame), and it closed over a year ago. I didn't like their lobster sandwiches, though, so I don't think you're missing anything.

The Greenhouse on the Waterfront has lobster night twice a week, I think. Wed and Fri? Their number is 340-774-7998.

I think Tavern on the Waterfront just a few doors from The Greenhouse also has a lobster night. Phone 340-776-4328

There's also the Lobster Grille at Bolongo Bay Resort..

I ran Linda Bean's Perfect Maine until it closed about a year and a half ago because our accountants talked sense into us. If you think our lobster roll (made with cold water lobster) wasn't something to miss, well I'm not sure of your taste. I showed the new owners of the property how to use the equipment, and they make good food. Nobody at Tavern or Greenhouse cooks Caribbean lobster correctly, they all overcook it but we showed some owners on STJ how to do it right and it tastes fine.

But Maine lobster is something else. And it cost us a FORTUNE to do it here.

Edit: It's now Nosh cafe. Good lunch place.

Hook, Line, and SInker in Frenchtown does lobster as long as the fishermen bring them in.

Fish Tails in Red Hook has oysters and clams:

while Enkai at Gregorie East (close to Frenchtown) has excellent sushi.

There's a new restaurant, chopstix, at Vitraco Mall (across from Pueblo Long Bay which is near Wendy's) that serves Thai/Vietnamese food. I've heard the curry is very good.

I haven't been to Room With A View in over a year, but I've always enjoyed Geroge's lobster thermador.

Unfortunately, I'm never there at night. Maybe July 4.

I ate at Fishtails once for their fried oysters and that was enough.
Expensive, greasy, tasteless. Way overpriced for the lack of quality and quantity.
There are many better places to eat

I'm sorry you didn't like it, Alana33. Did you alert anyone to your displeasure? I'm sure someone would have had it either re-cooked or replaced it with something different. Oyster don't come from here. I normally recommend the fresh fish or the lobsters.

Whoa! I think Fish Tails is one of the better values on St Thomas. But I agree with VIsnorkeler, go for the fish specials and the fresh fish (dinner, sandwich, or on a Greek salad.) Alana, where do you think is a better place to eat??
