If you navigate to the top of this page and click on Moving Center there are tons of FAQs there. as well as many moving stories you should peruse. I am sure most of your quesions will be answerd there, if not come back with some that aren't! Good luck.

Hello Ashley,

Here is a link to a thread on this message board with a good article on culture shock, https://www.vimovingcenter.com/talk/read.php?4,35345.

I kinda like Carnival!!
Especially the night it took me two hours to get home from work because I was dopey enough to think there would be some way through downtown Charlotte Amalie....silly me thinking that....Kinda reminded me of the beginning of "Don't stop the Carnival" when Mr Peppahman's financial backer complained...."Why don't they just build a damn bridge!!!!!"
I am being facetious, I love the way the local's just kinda ease through the day with no urgency....and the smiles and greetings of people on the streets!!
Try saying "Good morning" to a perfect stranger where I come from and you just may get smacked!!
However, I really don't understand why all the roadside maintenance guys use machetes instead of motorized tools.....ah well, its all good....
