Alexandra, please relax. I don't see anyone on this thread instilling fear in anyone. Your opinions matter a lot since you have a lot of experience in real estate and living on STX. I understand that in your experiences you disagree with others, but really no one is trying to scare off someone from living in the V.I. I actually felt that minus the personal stuff, your posts were very good on this thread. You offer opinions and facts about the real estate market that gives newbies more options which is good. No need to battle for your voice, it is heard and you should continue to post your spin on things. I think all in all this whole thread is very informative and helpful.

Did I write that? I was in a hurry and I can't edit my post to correct my grammar. I was trying to be nice and say that Alexandra sounds stressed and needs a spa day (in a funny caring way not a rude demeaning way). Anyway, my head hurts from reading this whole thread again. 🙂 All in all, I think you have to have a mindset that you are reading a post on the Internet and it shouldn't dictate what level of fear you have about moving. Obviously those of us who live or have lived on island were drawn to it for some reason. We are trying to be helpful in our own little ways. Right?

LOL. I'm not stressed. Far from it. That's the beauty for me of life in Paradise. And for me, STX truly is Paradise.

Paradise doesn't have to be perfect, after all. It just has to be a place where you can be happy in your life. I guess the things that upset so many people about St. Croix don't ruin my day in ways significant enough to make me unhappy here. I definitely do not sweat the small stuff that might be irritants that drive some people up a wall.

I think that HipCrip and I had a similar reaction to life on STX and both felt right at home from Day 1. Attitude, reasonable expectations, and an open mind are the key! Just because something is different doesn't make it bad.

Alexandra,

Could not have said it better -- or as succinctly -- myself. Well done.
