DMV STJ or STT?

I am selling my car and would like to know if I can go to the DMV in St. John I've heard there are less people and may be quicker then going down town. Will this be a problem if I don't have the car with me?... The buyer will be using the car in STT. Also, I only have my original proof of insurance and my registration; seem to have misplaced the title. If I go to the DMV in STJ will I be able to get the title there as well?

Any assistance would be appreciated. Also the phone number to the DMV in St. John would be a lot of help. Thanks!

Didn't know there was a DMV on St. John. If selling, you do have to have the title. They can get it for you on St. Thomas.

Definitely the BMV on STJ! I've been there 3 times and there's never a line.

The number for the BMV on St. John is 340-776-6262 I would definitely call first and find out about the title before you come over here. And when you come, make sure you are on the 1pm ferry at the latest. They pretty much shut down at 2:30 and don't really take on new customers after 2pm. Or that has been my experience at least!
