Can anyone recommend a few good doctors, either on STJ or STT:

Allergist
Dentist
Dermatologist
Eye Doctor,
preferably an ophthalmologist not an optometrist
General Family Practitioner
OB/GYN
Radiologist
Plastic Surgeon
(probably won't need this one but you never know what can happen and when you may need this type of doctor)

I will be doing check-ups with all of my doctors stateside before moving but I have a few quirky health issues (nothing life-threatening) so I would prefer to know of good doctors on island just in case.

I know there is no hospital on St John, is there an Urgent Care type place there?

Thank you in advance for your recommendations! 🙂

Dr. Clayton at the Red Hook Family Medical Practice. I had a very serious issue and he was more than helpful and I'm healed thanks to him. Great Doc, very informative, very laid back and easy. STT!

Allergist: I am not sure if Dr Thomas still has her practice in Havensight. She retired from Health. VI ENT does allergy medecine, but they are ENTs, not allergists.
Dentist: Dr Pomeranz
Dermatologist: There is only one, so not sure you can have a best. Fletcher Robinson.
Eye Doctor, preferably an ophthalmologist not an optometrist: Dr Assefa!!
General Family Practitioner:
OB/GYN:
Radiologist: St Thomas Radiology. Again, when you have a monopoly, can there be a best?
Plastic Surgeon: There is one guy who has an office, but he is not affiliated with the hospital, so not sure what he does. Some people go to Tortola.

For non-emergency services or specialty services, many people maintain state side connections.

Tolie- Thank you for the recommendation. I will check out Dr. Claytons office when I arrive on the island.

East Ender- Thank you so much for all of your recommendations. Your list is exactly what I am looking for. I'm not necessarily needing the absolute best, just someone who I can see locally rather than flying back stateside every time I need to see a doctor, especially if its on short notice. If one of my issues worsens or I need surgery in the future, I will definitely go back to MD where I'm from. I have the best of the best there between Johns Hopkins, University of MD, and all of the DC area hospitals. But for basic routine check-ups, I'm sure those on the island will be just fine. Thanks again!
