Hey BRICKS,

I used to ski / wakeboard all the time between Crown Bay and Water Island. There is a small area between the moorings on the North side of Water Island and Honeymoon Beach. And as long as no big ships were coming in that channel, the whole area between Water Isalnd and St Thomas is normally flat.

Thanks dntw8up and East Ender, I was having visions of the VI's being turned into some kind of game park! I didn't notice that post was from 2007. The deer that come out at night on the east end (of STX) are so beautiful, and some have even lost a little of their fear of mankind. I wish there was a way to give them water when it is dry so they don't come down on to the road. I hit one one night - I braked as hard as I could so I was going very slow, but it was only tiny, like a little dog. When I got out of the car it jumped up and took off up the hill, so I don't even know if it was ok. I have lived with the guilt ever since! Please everyone in STX be careful on that road. It is the straight stretch before you start going down the hill to the Divi.

Sabrina: I love the deer out here on the east end of St Thomas, too, The devlopment and fences around here seem to be cutting into their habitat. I have thought about setting up a deer feeding station, too! 😉 What I really would like to have is a hunting season on the feral fowl. 😛
