Dog Friendly Temporary Rental STT?

Bringing us humans to St Croix seems relatively easy to me compared to trying to make plans to bring our dog to St Croix.

One of the options that we are investigating right now is Delta's Pet First program. Through that they will transport him unaccompanied and will work to get him on evening flights so that we can move him during the summer and not have a problem with the temperature restrictions. The only problem is that Delta will fly him only as far as St Thomas. I need to get him to St Croix.

The last Cape Air flight is at about 7:45pm from St Thomas to St Croix. I'm concerned that the Delta flight won't arrive in time to make the Cape Air flight so we'll have to stay overnight in St Thomas and fly back to St Croix first thing in the morning.

If we do have to do that and stay overnight in St Thomas, does anyone know any place that will do a one night rental and allow a dog?

I'm definitely not the best qualified to answer your question, I lived in STX not STT, but since nobody else has replied, I will try my best. I travel with my dogs a lot, so always try to keep my ear to the ground about where I might go with them, but forgive me if my information is out of date! Ronnie, who posts on this board, has a hotel in STT downtown, not very far from the waterfront. He might accept your dog for one night, or if not he would be a good person to ask who would do it. I think he has lived in STT all/most of his life, and knows just about everything and everyone there. If you could get the Seaplane to STX with your dog, that would work out really well, but I have no idea about that situation
The airport in STT is really far from downtown.

No problem with a dog but you may have a problem with the seaplane. The ferry takes dogs I understand.
