A favicon is found on many of the hippest websites. On this one, you'll notice the little red asterik/paw print you see in your Browser's address or URL line. When you add this site to your favorites, as you probably already have, you'll see the 'symbol' next to the name you've chosen to include in your favorites list - thus helping you to more readily spot vinow.

cnn.com for example has a favicon with the initials cnn in red.

Mine's the Google one too. I guess if you newly bookmarked you'd get the vinow marker.

I believe the favicon being displayed is dependent upon the browser in which you open the site. When I open the site with AOL there is no icon. However, when I open it in Safari there is a very appropriate one: a red box with a white VI inside. I also see the VI favicon when I open the site in Firefox.

I had to re-bookmark the site to get the red dots. The vacation board has a yellow VI symbol. Island Paul, you are so observant! As many bookmarks as I have, the colorful symbols or pics really help to scroll quickly to the site. Learning something new every day. Thanks Paul!

Put on my glasses and still see a blue "e"- the same one I see at the bottom of my screen for "Explorer?"

I do not like Jerry Jones. The day he and Jimmy Johnson deposed Tom Landry by clinking margarita glasses on the front page of the Dallas News, I stopped cheering for them. In fact, all pro sports are suspect (and college too)
Bah, humbug!

I'm in Firefox and have the link in the menu bar and -- voila! -- favicon. It is pretty cool!

It should be an orange square with VI in white letters on both sites.

I have blue "e" for everything that I have bookmarked - every single site - it does fmake it hard to find things - sometimes when I first book mark a new site their's will stay for a day or two then it becomes the blue "e" 🙁

This morning, for about one hour, I had the orange square with VI in white - now however it went back to a red 'splash' . It was neat while I had it. Strange how it changes.

Oh LOOK! The 'real deal' orange background with the white initials VI is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. Would be privately pm or e-mail interested from Ansen as to what might have happened - in case I should see it on any of my websites.

Thanks.
