Anyone know about ferry service to San Juan? I am traveling with cargo (suitcases and such). Thanks, Gina

There are no ferries to San Juan, but they list a ferry between STT and Fajardo, which is much shorter.
And since I live on STX, I don't know if that ferry actually runs.

My understanding at one point is that there are ferry runs from STX to Puerto Rico but they aren't on a fixed schedule. I think they're seasonal or demand based and you have to call to find out.

I wouldn't rely on a ferry from Puerto Rico to the Virgin Islands, no matter the port. It has been tried over the years, time and again, and it just doesn't pass muster. You may get luck , and fine one running during the exact time you need, but don't count on it.

You can bring suitcases on the plane...may have to pay a fee but it it is still possible.
