I will be arriving on STJ on Sept. 1 and am somewhat puzzled by the ferry schedule. If you live on STJ and work on STT (or vice versa), say at a restaurant/bar that doesn't close until very late, how do you get back to the Island you live on that late at night?

You make the last ferry or overnight on the island you're on.

It would have to be by private boat - it wouldn't be easy to work that type of schedule and travel interisland - with the darkness, weather and sea conditions involved there would likely be many nights spent at a 'friends' house or working all night and taking an early morning ferry. The hotels do run a late boat for employees but try not to schedule the commuters that late when possible.
