Anybody know what is on fire down near C'sted/Gallows Bay?? I was just there awhile ago, got back to my house and have ashes floating up, smell heavy smoke. Looked towards Gallows Bay and see black smoke!

yeah, me too. lots of houses near by and one that is being built. saw a couple of horses by the road on the other side safe . they usually hang out on the side of the fire.

Northside, STT is lush and green!

We had that torrential downpour around Valentine's giving us almost 11 inches of rain over a 24 hour period, which completely missed STX.

But seems to be a wetter winter here than we've had in awhile and already have mangos on my trees that are fruiting early this year.

Brush fire season is usually over summer months in STX?

Alana, I was just on STT (Northside) last weekend and definitely much less dry than what we are dealing with here on STX. Was up at my neighbors house today and could see how much land was scorched...was even smoldering a little more this morning...we need rain!!
