Does anyone know if there will be any fireworks displays on St. Croix for the 4th of July? In the past they have put on shows at the St. Croix Yacht Club on the east end and also in Fredriksted. ???

none at the yacht club. just f'sted. to bad not on both ends. really like the skies up. last year i could see them fireworks on st. john. from the gallery at home. but with the haze not sure if you will be able to see this year or not. i am going to see fireworks over the Ohio River. yeaaaaaaaa!!!!! Yeah, just west this year. Yacht club stopped after an accident which left the guy setting them off injured.

yes accident at the yacht club put a drain on it but also the building of houses on the point. think they got a bit nervous if it was dry and fireworks going off in their back yard. (don't blame them)

So St. Croix this Week says the fireworks are going to be on Friday. WHAH? Is this a misprint? Aren't they always on the actual fourth?

Only St John celibrates the 4th.
The fireworks are for Emancipation Day.

I read that the fireworks on the 3rd are associated with the Emmacipation Day activities in Fredriksted with fireworks afterwards at Buddhoe Park. The Go To St Croix website announces the regular fireworks are on Saturday the 4th. Mongoose radio station is also advertising them for Saturday the 4th of July.
