Guavaberry Festival Set for Nov. 28

Upcoming culture bearer Valrica Bryson, music chairperson at Elena Christian Junior High School, along with quelbe great Stanley Jacobs of Stanley and Ten Sleepless Knights, will be charging up everyone for the holidays with a Guavaberry Festival scheduled for noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Fort Frederik in Frederiksted, St. Croix.
Competitors will prepare liqueur, rum, sauce and desserts using the local guavaberry as the main ingredient. It’s all about Guavaberry! Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category. Winners will earn the right to brag about their accomplishment and ride along during Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights annual serenading throughout St. Croix neighborhoods around Christmas time.
