So,,, am I the only one that thinks this entire situation is a bit... "fishy" ?

Burns down and re-opens in a week or two, in the USVI?

Dunno, seems strange to me.

Glad to hear it though, especially for the workers.

I think to continue paying the staff, renting a location and buying all new equipment and shipping it in, before they have received one cent of insurance money, refutes any conspiracy.

You referred to fishiness that you read.I was also referring to that fishiness.
You never said it was your belief so I can't possibly insinuate anything.

Anyone find it a little odd that they got up and running so fast? I mean tools, equipment, lifts...

No. You can buy everything you need at one distributor in Miami, fill a container and get it here in 4 days. Nothing unusual about that.

The former "Mike's Bodyshop" building did have a compressor, some lifts, and additional equipment. There is a chance HH entered a lease with said equipment in place.

Maybe the reason everyone is so skeptical is this represents Forward thinking and having a game plan is why it is so foreign to us.

And being aware of how long it can take to get things done.
On the islands where Murphy's Law and O Reilly's postulate rule, such speed and organization is amazing. I salute them.

I guess you haven't been around many drug fronts then... eh?

This was more common than I'd like to admit in Alaska... All the major bars were run by the mexican mafia (which made for some GREAT bars!.. gotta launder that money somehow right?)

I'm seeing a similar pattern here... just sayin 😉

I run a business, I ship things in regularly from off island.. I understand the logistics of the situation... this would have been very difficult to pull off.

I will disagree with that. I shipped 20-30 trailers into STX on a weekly basis for 25 years. We could fill a trailer and sail on the next sailing, and did on a regular basis.

I was told the day before the fire that Kevin H. was in Florida. I think Patrick probably was, too. Being nearby, in person, might have helped expedite the resupply process a bit, as well.

well that would make total sense... a previously established auto shop WITH lifts pre-installed makes for an easy rapid transition.
