Hello all,
I'm new here, and am considering moving to STT. I've searched the files, and found some information, but most seems to be old.

I'm wondering what the situation is now on getting individual health insurance in USVI?

Thanks in advance for any information or guidance to links for information.

No change. Still not available nor likely to be in the near future. But if you're healthy and not a risk taker, you probably don't need insurance. My family went the first 10 years here without. Big savings.

I would check out Cigna Global - they offer a global insurance plan for expats.

thank you Zimmerman. I would not be an expat since I'm moving from the mainland USA.

When I checked with them a few months ago, they said they are not presently writing new health insurance policies for Virgin Islands residents. I doubt that has changed. They are still renewing policies that were in force previously.
