Hello,

Does anyone have information on the state of dentistry in the USVIs? I will be finishing up dental school in the States and am exploring the option of moving to and practicing here.

Thanks,
cgs

We have good dentists here, if that's what you mean. As with anything, if you're good you could build up a practice after being licensed here.

I'm not certain, but I think one dentist I met who moved here had to wait a year to get residency and his license. Hope any who read this will correct me if I'm wrong. The good news is that I recently tried to make an appointment for our family to have simple hygenist cleanings and the waiting list was months long. Sounds like a need for dentists (or hygenists) is definitely there.
